Venue
St John's Hyde Park
St John's Hyde Park church is a beautiful Grade II building built in 1832 located just step away of famous London Hyde Park and few minutes walk from Lancaster Gate tube station.
When you enter the hall you can not miss the sense of grandiose looking at stunning , huge vitrage ink stained glass windows dated from 1870, impressive columns and arches and marble flooring.
St John’s is particularly proud of its unique organ and choral traditions.

The Organ 'Betty'
It is believed that the original organ was played by Mendelssohn in 1847, and the current organ (nicknamed after the current musical director’s childhood tortoise ‘Betty’) is one of only four complete organs made by Hill & Son in the London area. The ‘Save Betty’ campaign was launched and resulted in ‘Betty’ being restored in its full working glory with all her 1636 pipes.

History
Paddington was a little village west of London in the 1700’s, but there was no development of adjacent open farmland until removal of the infamous Tyburn Gallows, north of Hyde Park. In 1783, the gallows were moved to Newgate prison and the subsequent residential developments including Connaught Square resulted in a new church being build – St John’s.
*********
More recently, Richard Branson, an English business magnate, investor, philanthropist and the founder of Virgin Group had an office in the crypt of St John’s church early in his career.

St John's is also known for celebrity spotting events and top designers fashion shows during
the London Fashion Week.

We are so proud to have the opportunity to hold our event at this place known for top fashion shows as well it will be for our Dancewear Fashion Fair.
